Doctors-vegetarians

Our program aims to build an international community of vegetarian healthcare professionals.
Members of this community will be able, for example, to:
- conduct independent research on the benefits of a vegetarian diet and the harms of animal-based products, to use the findings in our awareness campaigns
- conduct expert analyses and defend the rights of vegetarians when government agencies in various countries discriminate against vegetarians under the pretext that our diet is harmful to health (For example, in Belgium, Health Minister Maggie De Bloc proposed a bill under which vegan parents raising vegan children would face criminal charges and punishment.)
- Develop vegetarian and vegan diets for different countries and climate zones, taking into account local cuisine and the availability of local food products
- disseminate useful information about the benefits of a vegetarian diet among their patients, sharing this experience with colleagues
- Provide assistance to like-minded individuals, taking into account the specifics of their diets
and much more.
For the community members themselves, this is a great opportunity for professional development through communication and practical interaction with colleagues, as well as clinical practice in working withwho are vegetarians, which will enable them to develop therapeutic approaches and select medications that take into account our lifestyle and dietary habits.
In addition, the traditionally high standing of medical professionals in society will significantly expand opportunities for disseminating information, interacting with international, government, and public organizations to establish partnerships, and engaging in joint activities that benefit society.
The program will be launched after our main nonprofit organization is registered in one of the EU countries in the fall of 2020.
