Lawyers-vegetarians

The goal of the program is to build an international community of vegetarian lawyers.

Members of this community will:

  • defend the rights of vegetarians when government agencies in various countries discriminate against them under the pretext that our diet is harmful to health (for example, in Belgium, Health Minister Maggie De Bloc proposed a bill under which vegan parents raising vegan children, would face criminal charges and punishment).
  • protect the rights of vegetarians against discrimination by employers
  • develop a legal framework for our international projects
  • to provide assistance to individuals whose rights are violated on the basis of their membership in our community
  • develop the regulatory and legal framework for our future state, once it is established as a subject of international law

and much more.

For community members themselves, this is a great opportunity for professional development through communication and practical interaction with colleagues, as well as experience working with vegetarian clients, which will allow them to gain new professional experience in a relevant niche.

In addition, the traditionally high status and professional opportunities for lawyers in society will create favorable conditions for strengthening our project in various countries.

The program will launch after our main nonprofit organization is registered in one of the EU countries in the fall of 2020.
